Why do I need the Newborn Insert Cushion?

If you are planning to use the main seat unit for your baby from newborn, then it is necessary to use the Newborn Insert Cushion too.

The Oscar M series & Olive strollers both have a bucket seat that doesn’t provide a flat sleeping position for a baby and therefore cannot be used for a newborn.  By using the Newborn Insert Cushion, which is designed to convert the seat unit easily and safely into a suitable and approved sleeping position for a newborn, you are able to use the seat unit for your new baby. 

It’s important to understand that if you are using the seat unit for your new baby, you must also be using the Newborn Insert Cushion.

The alternative to using the seat unit with the Newborn Insert Cushion is to use the Edwards & Co Carry Cot.  This provides a flat sleeping position and can be used from newborn.  Once your child has outgrown the Carry Cot, they would then progress straight into the seat unit.
